To keep your silver jewellery looking its best, it's important to protect it from everyday substances that can dull its shine. Perfumes, lotions, alcohol, cosmetics, and cleaning agents can all affect the finish, so it's best to avoid direct contact with these.
To prevent your silver from oxidizing, we recommend removing your jewellery before showering, swimming, or exercising. For extra longevity, consider taking your jewellery off before going to sleep, as friction during the night can cause gradual wear over time.
When you're not wearing your pieces, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Gold vermeil is a high-quality type of gold-plated jewellery. Unlike regular gold-plated pieces, vermeil has specific quality standards that make it stand out.
It starts with a base of sterling silver (925), which is then coated with a thick layer of gold of at least 2.5 microns, typically 18k or higher. This combination makes it significantly more durable and longer-lasting than standard gold plating. Gold vermeil is also suitable for those with sensitive skin

Gold vermeil jewellery requires a little extra care to keep it looking its best. Some tarnishing over time is completely natural and to be expected. Additionally, the gold layer may gradually wear off with frequent use, which is a normal characteristic of all gold-plated jewellery. How quickly this happens depends on several factors, such as your body chemistry, the humidity of your environment, how often you wear the piece, and how well it is looked after.
To slow down tarnishing and preserve the gold layer, it's best to remove your gold vermeil jewellery before bathing, showering, washing your hands, swimming, or working out. You should also avoid wearing it when applying perfume, hairspray, or lotion, as both moisture and chemicals can speed up the process.
When it comes to cleaning, always avoid chemical cleaners. Instead, gently wipe your jewellery with a microfibre cloth to keep it looking its best.
If your piece has tarnished or the gold layer has worn down, we also offer a replating service.
